Termoelectrica de Mexicali

Termoelectrica de Mexicali (TDM) is a power plant located in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. The 625-megawatt (MW), $350 million facility uses clean natural gas as a fuel source and features the latest air-emission reduction technologies.

TDM is one of the cleanest and most efficient power plants in North America. TDM is an example of Sempra International commitment to environmental sustainability.

The company partnered with Mexican officials on an innovative plan to process untreated sewage on-site for use in power plant operations – saving about 1.6 billion gallons of local fresh water annually.
