Sempra LNG

Our liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals meet and, in some cases, exceed all industry safety requirements.

Sempra LNG

Sempra LNG leads the company’s efforts to develop, build and operate LNG receipt terminals in North America. The company developed the first LNG receipt terminal on the west coast of North America and a second terminal in Louisiana near the Gulf of Mexico.
The combined capacity of the facilities is 2.5 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas per day.

  • Cameron LNG is situated along the Calcasieu Ship Channel in Hackberry, Louisiana, 18 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and within 35 miles of five major interstate pipelines that serve nearly two-thirds of all U.S. natural gas markets. Cameron LNG is capable of processing up to 1.5 Bcf of natural gas per day.
  • Energía Costa Azul, located in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, is capable of processing 1 Bcf of natural gas per day. The LNG terminal is connected to natural gas pipeline systems that span across the northern border of Baja California and the United States border area.
